Wicked Shorts @ The Cultch

|
After a sold-out run at the Fringe, Wicked Shorts now transforms the Vancity Culture Lab into a fully functioning “culture café” for these short, sweet and delectable plays. Matador Love is a wild romantic comedy about a blind date from hell. Rendez-Vouspoetically reveals the inner thoughts of a waiter as he serves on “Date Night”. You’ll Probably Come Back is a halting examination of restrained love and loss.Monsters in the Closet puts an absurd comic twist on secrets in the modern relationship. Enjoy a drink at your table while two versatile actors tread the stage in all these Wicked Shorts.

Wicked Shorts is produced by Alley Theatre , an up-and-coming, local, DIY theatre company. Their production ofTape, staged inside a room of the Waldorf Hotel, was sold-out at the Fringe, recently remounted and nominated for a Jessie Richardson Award for Outstanding Production. Director Marisa Smith is also the winner of the 2010 Joanna Maratta Award for her artistic achievement at the Fringe Festival.
