Explore these and other questions with Dr. Maggie O’Neill and representatives from Enterprising Women Making Art (EWMA, Atira), Megaphone Magazine, Providing Alternatives Counselling and Education Society (PACE), and United We Can in a dialogue about their social research collaboration, "Community, Politics and Resistance in Vancouver's DTES: a Participatory Project."
Dr. Maggie O’Neill, a researcher at England’s Durham University, has extensive experience in inter-disciplinary contexts with expertise in critical and cultural criminology. Her focus is on biographical, cultural and participatory research methodologies and the production of praxis – knowledge which addresses and intervenes in public policy. Maggie’s work has been instrumental in advancing dialogue and scholarship in prostitution, forced migration, and innovative methodologies.
